David Noonan (b. 1969, Australia) is known for his large-scale collaged
screenprints, which bring together diverse material from numerous sources to
produce surreal narratives, merging histories and blurring time and place. In this
his first artist’s book, Noonan explores his role as collector.
He gathers photographs, archival documents, magazines and books relating to
everything from 1960s theatre performances to art education, and weaves them
together in a narrative every bit as surreal and beguiling as his screenprints.
Including a newly-commissioned text by acclaimed author, Brian Dillon.
